How to Write a CV for Remote Jobs in the Gulf

A remote CV answers a different question from an office CV. The reader is not asking "can you do the job" first — they are asking "can this person legally and practically work for us from where they live".
Put eligibility in the header
Under your name, on one line: city and country, languages with levels, availability hours in your local time zone, and whether you can work GCC-wide or worldwide. This single line resolves the screener's first three questions.
Keep it to one page
For entry-level remote roles, one page is the norm. Order it:
- Header with contact details and eligibility
- Two-line summary naming the type of work you want
- Skills, split into tools and languages
- Experience or projects, with results
- Education
- Availability and equipment
Write results, not duties
Replace "responsible for social media" with "published 3 posts a week for a student society account; grew followers from 200 to 1,400 in five months". Numbers survive skim-reading.
Include a device and connection line
For research and testing work this is genuinely screened. One line is enough: handset model, laptop, typical connection speed, and whether you have a quiet space for recorded sessions.

Arabic and English versions
