Job summary

About the role

A work-from-home accounting opportunity for people living in Qatar (candidates near Al Rayyan preferred). This is a structured internship designed to give students and recent graduates supervised, hands-on experience. The team communicates asynchronously most of the day, with one short live catch-up to unblock work.

Responsibilities

  • Support the preparation of monthly financial summaries
  • Prepare and send customer invoices on schedule
  • Reconcile bank statements at the end of each month
  • Assist with VAT filing preparation where applicable
  • Track petty cash and expense claims
  • Flag unusual entries to the finance lead

Requirements

  • Comfortable with Excel formulas and pivot basics
  • Reliable internet and personal computer
  • Accounting fundamentals from study or short courses
  • High accuracy with numbers
  • Ability to meet monthly closing deadlines
  • Currently studying or graduated within the last two years

Preferred skills

  • Experience with QuickBooks, Xero, Zoho Books or SAP
  • Arabic language skills
  • Understanding of GCC VAT rules
  • Accounting or finance degree
