Job summary

About the role

This remote accounting vacancy is open to candidates in any GCC country (Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain or Oman). Suitable for candidates with up to one year of experience, including internships, freelance work or part-time roles. You will be given written processes, short training sessions and a direct point of contact for questions.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and send customer invoices on schedule
  • Reconcile bank statements at the end of each month
  • Track petty cash and expense claims
  • Assist with VAT filing preparation where applicable
  • Record daily transactions in the accounting system
  • Chase overdue payments politely and log responses

Requirements

  • Accounting fundamentals from study or short courses
  • Comfortable with Excel formulas and pivot basics
  • Ability to meet monthly closing deadlines
  • Reliable internet and personal computer
  • High accuracy with numbers

Preferred skills

  • Arabic language skills
  • Understanding of GCC VAT rules
  • Accounting or finance degree
  • Experience with QuickBooks, Xero, Zoho Books or SAP
