Job summary

About the role

This is a fully remote accounting role you can do from home in Oman (candidates near Muscat preferred). We welcome fresh graduates who finished their studies recently and want a first professional role they can grow in. Day to day you will work inside a small, supportive team with clear priorities and weekly check-ins.

Responsibilities

  • Flag unusual entries to the finance lead
  • Assist with VAT filing preparation where applicable
  • Track petty cash and expense claims
  • Reconcile bank statements at the end of each month
  • Chase overdue payments politely and log responses
  • Prepare and send customer invoices on schedule
  • Record daily transactions in the accounting system

Requirements

  • Ability to meet monthly closing deadlines
  • Comfortable with Excel formulas and pivot basics
  • High accuracy with numbers
  • Accounting fundamentals from study or short courses
  • Reliable internet and personal computer

Preferred skills

  • Arabic language skills
  • Accounting or finance degree
  • Understanding of GCC VAT rules
  • Experience with QuickBooks, Xero, Zoho Books or SAP

Eligibility

You must be legally resident in Oman to apply. The indicative range for this role is 250–650 OMR per month, confirmed at offer stage based on experience.
