Job summary

About the role

This remote accounting vacancy is open to candidates in any GCC country (Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain or Oman). A junior-level position for someone who has covered the basics and now wants to build depth and ownership. Expect a predictable weekly rhythm: focused task blocks, a short team sync and a simple end-of-week summary.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain organised digital records for audit purposes
  • Match supplier bills to purchase orders and receipts
  • Reconcile bank statements at the end of each month
  • Record daily transactions in the accounting system
  • Flag unusual entries to the finance lead
  • Track petty cash and expense claims
  • Assist with VAT filing preparation where applicable

Requirements

  • Reliable internet and personal computer
  • Comfortable with Excel formulas and pivot basics
  • Ability to meet monthly closing deadlines
  • Accounting fundamentals from study or short courses

Preferred skills

  • Arabic language skills
  • Experience with QuickBooks, Xero, Zoho Books or SAP
  • Understanding of GCC VAT rules
  • Accounting or finance degree
