Job summary

About the role

This is a fully remote accounting role you can do from home in Oman (candidates near Muscat preferred). We welcome fresh graduates who finished their studies recently and want a first professional role they can grow in. The team communicates asynchronously most of the day, with one short live catch-up to unblock work.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and send customer invoices on schedule
  • Maintain organised digital records for audit purposes
  • Flag unusual entries to the finance lead
  • Match supplier bills to purchase orders and receipts
  • Assist with VAT filing preparation where applicable

Requirements

  • High accuracy with numbers
  • Ability to meet monthly closing deadlines
  • Reliable internet and personal computer
  • Accounting fundamentals from study or short courses
  • Comfortable with Excel formulas and pivot basics

Preferred skills

  • Experience with QuickBooks, Xero, Zoho Books or SAP
  • Accounting or finance degree
  • Arabic language skills
  • Understanding of GCC VAT rules
