Job summary

About the role

This is a fully remote accounting role you can do from home in Bahrain (candidates near Muharraq preferred). This is a structured internship designed to give students and recent graduates supervised, hands-on experience. Expect a predictable weekly rhythm: focused task blocks, a short team sync and a simple end-of-week summary.

Responsibilities

  • Chase overdue payments politely and log responses
  • Reconcile bank statements at the end of each month
  • Track petty cash and expense claims
  • Match supplier bills to purchase orders and receipts
  • Flag unusual entries to the finance lead
  • Prepare and send customer invoices on schedule
  • Assist with VAT filing preparation where applicable

Requirements

  • High accuracy with numbers
  • Comfortable with Excel formulas and pivot basics
  • Reliable internet and personal computer
  • Ability to meet monthly closing deadlines
  • Accounting fundamentals from study or short courses
  • Currently studying or graduated within the last two years

Preferred skills

  • Arabic language skills
  • Experience with QuickBooks, Xero, Zoho Books or SAP
  • Understanding of GCC VAT rules

Eligibility
