Job summary

About the role

This is a fully remote accounting role you can do from home in United Arab Emirates (candidates near Ajman preferred). A junior-level position for someone who has covered the basics and now wants to build depth and ownership. Expect a predictable weekly rhythm: focused task blocks, a short team sync and a simple end-of-week summary.

Responsibilities

  • Match supplier bills to purchase orders and receipts
  • Reconcile bank statements at the end of each month
  • Flag unusual entries to the finance lead
  • Record daily transactions in the accounting system
  • Prepare and send customer invoices on schedule
  • Maintain organised digital records for audit purposes
  • Track petty cash and expense claims

Requirements

  • High accuracy with numbers
  • Reliable internet and personal computer
  • Ability to meet monthly closing deadlines
  • Comfortable with Excel formulas and pivot basics

Preferred skills

  • Understanding of GCC VAT rules
  • Arabic language skills
  • Accounting or finance degree
  • Experience with QuickBooks, Xero, Zoho Books or SAP
