Job summary

About the role

This is a fully remote accounting role you can do from home in Oman (candidates near Muscat preferred). A junior-level position for someone who has covered the basics and now wants to build depth and ownership. The team communicates asynchronously most of the day, with one short live catch-up to unblock work.

Responsibilities

  • Flag unusual entries to the finance lead
  • Assist with VAT filing preparation where applicable
  • Chase overdue payments politely and log responses
  • Prepare and send customer invoices on schedule
  • Record daily transactions in the accounting system

Requirements

  • High accuracy with numbers
  • Ability to meet monthly closing deadlines
  • Reliable internet and personal computer
  • Comfortable with Excel formulas and pivot basics
  • Accounting fundamentals from study or short courses

Preferred skills

  • Arabic language skills
  • Experience with QuickBooks, Xero, Zoho Books or SAP
  • Accounting or finance degree
  • Understanding of GCC VAT rules
