Job summary

About the role

This remote online tutoring vacancy is open to candidates in Oman (candidates near Sohar preferred). Ideal for candidates with roughly one to two years of hands-on experience who are ready for more responsibility. The team communicates asynchronously most of the day, with one short live catch-up to unblock work.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare lesson material suited to each learner's level
  • Set short exercises and give constructive feedback
  • Follow safeguarding and communication guidelines
  • Recommend extra practice resources
  • Deliver one-to-one and small group lessons over video
  • Adjust pace when a student struggles with a concept
  • Track learner progress and share simple reports with parents

Requirements

  • Strong subject knowledge in your chosen area
  • Clear speaking voice and patient teaching style
  • Quiet space, webcam and stable internet
  • Comfortable using Zoom, Google Meet or Teams

Preferred skills

  • Experience with digital whiteboards
  • Familiarity with GCC or IB/IGCSE curricula
  • Bilingual Arabic and English delivery
  • Teaching or tutoring experience, including volunteering
